"Breathless: The Impact of Pollution on Lung Health and the Rise of Induced and Aggravated Lung Diseases"

Lung diseases induced and aggravated by pollution

Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, and emphysema are chronic diseases directly related to air toxins. There is a very real risk that these pollutants can hinder the process of lung development and be a
precursor to lung disease in the future. These debilitating and chronic diseases are the bane of life and slowly worsen over time with frequent bouts of acute phases. Smoking, pollution, and weather changes can make the problem worse.

Diagnosis and treatment of COPD
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a term that can encompass a wide range of problems such as bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, and other related disorders. Common factors are pulmonary airway narrowing and prolonged respiratory-expiratory cycles.

Symptoms of COPD include general weakness, shortness of breath, cough, wheezing, barrel chest, decreased breath sounds, leg edema, and clubbing. Activity intolerance occurs due to impaired oxygen supply with required values. There is a general weakness and malnutrition is the problem. The patient is unable to exercise and needs a caregiver.
